We went to the Forney Transportation Museum near Denver one of most interesting things there was the cutaway if the Ford Skyliner hard top convertible.
They also had a good display of h ood ornaments. Here’s a few of my favorites.
This Dodge Coren et 440 converted to an RV was super cool.

9 circuit breakers, 10 solenoids, 13 switches, 7 electric motors
Wait, is that just for the top mechanism?

Yuuuup. You don’t have to wonder why they only made them for 2 years

It’s amazing how many “ recent” technology in automobiles like turbos, ABS, airbags, and hardtop convertibles actually debuted 40- 60 years ago, went away, and then came back in full force.

The human imagination gets ahead of technology, like Da Vinci and the helicopter.

True - but in the case of those technologies, they were all put into regular production cars between 1957 and 1973, so they were a lot further advanced than DaVincis sketches.

Of course, but the principle of an idea that’s ahead of it’s time is the same.

That cutaway is cool. Also, I see we share taste in hood ornaments.
